Dear Collector,
Here is the latest sale for collectors of small collectibles. As
always, there's a wide variety of lots to bid on, at estimates from
€20 upwards. . This time there are good ranges of Irish Coins,
Irish Historical Ephemera, Topographical Postcards, better early
GAA programmes, also Banknotes, Soccer and Rugby Programmes, Stamps
& Postal History, Cigarette Cards and Military Badges &
Medals,
BUY BIDS: Please note that bids to buy cannot be accepted;
if received, these will be converted strictly to three time estimate.
This will not guarantee that the lot is secured as in a few cases
lots may sell for more than this. It is always advisable to bid
the highest you are willing to pay for a lot, as you will only have
to pay one step above the next highest bid.
Estimates are given for each lot in Euro(€) which is
currently worth approximately GB£0.85 and US$1.25.
If you wish to pay by credit card, please remember to include the
Security Code (the last three digits on signature panel at back
of card). There is a 2% charge for this method of payment.
POSTAGE: Postage rates for small packets and parcels have
risen steeply. It's always advisable to arrange to collect from
Cathedral Street where possible.
Due to the proximity of Christmas it may not be possible to
post out lots until early January
VIEWING: Lots may be viewed 10am to 5pm at Cathedral Stamps,
8 Cathedral Street on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th December 2008.
(A few bulkier lots are in storage and may not be available for
viewing)
LAST MINUTE BIDS: Please
note that bids may be sent by email, text or voice message up to
5pm on the closing day BUT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE CALLS OR
RESPOND TO ANY REQUESTS AFTER 4PM
If you can't come along, feel free to phone or email for further
details on any lot.
I am usually at Cathedral Stamps at 8 Cathedral Street on Wednesdays
and Fridays and if you have surplus collectibles to consign or sell
please give me a call.
NEXT SALES: I plan to have another First Come First Served
Sale in February and the next Mail Bid Sale will be in March 2009,
so any material for inclusion should be with me by the end of January.
Collectors of Irish county-related
material should find most counties represented in the ephemera,
postcards and GAA sections. On
the left are links to all the sections of this sale.
Please read the bidding
information on the left before attempting to bid.
Bids should be with me by
Wednesday 10th December 5pm at the latest - Good Luck!
